Horn, Voice and Piano - sound and song

The Myriad song

Geraldine McGreevy (soprano)
Christopher Gould (piano)

with

Emily Gorlin (horn)

Geraldine McGreevy and Christopher Gould, who last year presented the Sundial of Song, are joined by Emily Gorlin for a rich and varied programme of landscapes and soundscapes, based around four contrasting works for horn, voice and piano.  Arnold Cooke's beautiful Nocturnes and Britten's Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal frame a picture of twilight and moonscapes in English Song, and the romantic themes of Lachner's Waldvöglein and Schubert's Auf Dem Strom are reflected in songs by Schubert, Wolf, Chausson and Roussel.
